1. What is a Level 6 Programme?
- A Level 6 Leadership and Management Certificate Award is a degree level qualification which combines academic study with work place learning. The level 6 programme is developed to enable the student to gain essential experience and knowledge of the management processes within the UK at every level. Designed in association with employers, they are qualifications to equip people with the relevant skills, knowledge and understanding to achieve academic results as well as improve performance and productivity in the work place.
2. Why choose a Level 6 programme?
- The Level 6 Award focuses on a particular job or profession.
- They are intended to increase the professional and technical skills of current or potential staff within a profession, or intending to go into that profession, in this case, Management.
- The Level 6 Programme is designed by Wave Training in association with the Institute of Leadership and Management to provide a specialist work related qualification in a range of sectors.
- Students registered on the Level 6 programme will have the full benefits of remote access to Wave Trainings sister companies management system giving access to Care sector policies, practices and procedures.
- Students will gain free membership to the Institute of leadership and Management where online text books, journals and database can be accessed.
3. What does the Level 6 Programme consist of?
- The level 6 programme is made up of units
- Each unit is assessed and counts towards credits
- The Level 6 Programme is designed by Wave Training in association with the Institute of Leadership and Management to provide a specialist work related qualification in a range of sectors.
- The programme consists of a number of management units which are QCF rated at level 6/7 and delivered throughout the 3 years which culminate in this level 6 programme outcomes.
4. How is the Level 6 Programme assessed?
- Candidates complete units containing realistic academic and work-based assignments
- Each assignment is marked and assessed against a unit grading grid
- All assignment documentation will be signed off by the Candidate and Assessor
- The result of the assignment will be notified to the Candidate after marking
- Each assignment is given a pass or fail grade
How is a Level 6 Programme made up?
- Integrated assignments is a cluster of unit topics embedding into one main assignment
- The assignments embed the Common Induction Standards (CIS) throughout the programme to ensure students understand the standards required for their work placement.
